Hello! Thank you for considering me for your counseling needs. I am a passionate post-graduate clinician in the process of obtaining licensure. If you’re visiting this page, you are one step closer to taking the steps needed to reach your mental health goals. You are already considering self-care! It is my passion to walk alongside people as they navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, self-esteem issues, and any sort of obstacle that may result in preventing a happy and fulfilling life. By utilizing empirically based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and person-centered work, people can adapt and utilize their strengths to overcome many of these obstacles.
Having been a teacher and continuing to the mental health field, I have learned from myself and others how much of a priority mental health can and should be. I would be honored to be a part of this journey and to help tailor the interventions that would be best for your specific needs. In addition to the therapeutic techniques mentioned above, I also love integrating the Meyer’s Briggs personality framework (or rather, the Jungian cognitive functions) and Enneagram for those who are interested in personality systems. As for me, I have been married to my husband for five years, and together we enjoy many hobbies, but my favorite is running! I also love soccer, hiking, reading, and writing. I have found that people who come in for counseling are not broken—they are stuck in a state of change, either within themselves or their environment. With a little bit of direction, science, and support, life can become colorful! *Stephanie is under the clinical supervision of Shawna Mitchell, LPC, CSPS |
